Saved tonight by a prayer - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

On the train this evening I needed a cigarette, which would have led to a bottle of wine. I prayed to my HP to save me from a night of self abuse. I had no money so I when I got off the train I went to the cash machine knowing I would need the money for cigarettes and wine. The cash machine was broken. By the time I got to a working machine my cravings had passed. I am now sober. I have gone two day's free of drugs and booze. I am indeed a lucky man tonight.
I pray for all others tempted to the fall today.
