Satan Worship? - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

Sorry about the multiple threads. My last one was getting pretty long.
Years ago my husband (even though he was raised a Christian and we were married in a church) went through a phase. (He goes through a lot of them) He decided to research Satanism. Then he joined the forums, began talking to other members of the church of satan, bought books such as the Satanic Bible, and a necklace with a goat head and a star on it. Some sort of symbol of the church. Thankfully he got bored with it and got rid of everything except the necklace. About 2 weeks ago I found it under our mattress while I was making the bed. I shrugged it off. I knew he'd spent good money on it and in his mind that was a good reason to keep it. I figured it was there so our son wouldn't find it.
Today I found it out in the living room. I'm not sure what to think. He's at work right now and I'm sure I'd overreact if I spoke to him right now.
I'm too emotional and confused right now to pray properly.
Has anyone ever dealt with this before? I'm too ashamed to mention it to anyone close to me. I'm not sure what to do, if anything.

I've learned the hard way that it's not worth it to engage in a power struggle with an active alcoholic, addict...or anyone else for that matter.

About the necklace... the God I know...written about in the bible...is far greater than such a symbol.

In Al-Anon and here on SR; I've learned so many wonderful and helpful ways to cope with things you've shared about here in CIR. I hope you will continue to come by this forum and I can't say enough about our Friends & Family forums where there are people who understand exactly what you are going through. What's more, many there have found effective ways to cope and ...yes....even thrive.

When you do visit those forums, please read the Sticky threads at the top of each forum page...there are lots of good resources and some of our most helpful threads are stored there too.

You don't have to face this alone and there is help and hope to be found; and caring people to walk alongside.
