| Letting Go
OCTOBER 12 Letting Go for the Glory of God "For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for My sake shall find it." Matthew 16:25 When I was a little boy and found something that didn't belong to me, I'd say, "Finders keepers, losers weepers!" But do you know what approach the apostle Paul took? It was one of "keepers weepers, losers finders." He said, "But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ" (Philippians 3:7-8). Religion does not save us. Jesus saves us, and He is calling us, not only to turn from our sins, but to turn from our "righteousness." What are you holding onto in your life that brings you security? Let it go to the glory of God! You can trust Him to provide for all your needs. From Love Worth Finding; Pastor Adrian Rogers.

Money, finances, that's what I foolishly hold on to and worry over. And the less I stress over it, the more clearly I can see that He is always meeting my needs. Easier said than done sometimes, but so worth the effort to loosen my grip on finances and have complete trust and faith in God.

Same here Astro! When I let go of my money, and give to God liberally, I always find my needs are more than taken care of. When I release my cares ...they become His cares. Then the burdens are lifted..... Yes, it's a matter of turning it over, believing, and trusting...

It helps me to remember all the times that God has answered prayer, brought relief...and yes: even performed miracles in my life and with others I know. Gratitude helps me let go and I'm sure the Lord appreciates a grateful heart. When I hang on to stuff the results are never good. There's alot of freedom when I know it's no longer in my hands...but safely intrusted to Him.

Finance, drives me nuts.. What I find is, he's not always there when I call but always on time! I have to realize that, then I'll stress less.
