Still in business

Hi all !! ,
Just checking in, been very busy lately. After a loooong spell of unemployment, a friend of mine ( also unemployed ) Invited me on a Thursday to a Bible study for unemployed guys. It was a good Bible study, lots of people and lots of Faith there.

The next day, ( Friday ) my friend's boss called him and said that things have picked up, and that he can report back to work on Monday! Later that day, my friend was out and about and his car broke down. He called triple A, and while waiting for a tow truck, he saw a man hang up a help wanted sign, so he called me on his cell phone. I was there in ten minutes and was hired that day !!

I worked ( Happily ) six days a week for two weeks, dropped the check in the bank and was able to make a phone payment just 5 hours before the bank was going to foreclose on my house....yeah,.....I know. Be advised one and all, Our Good Lord is still very much in the business of answering Prayer.!!!!

My recovery has been going amazingly well, since I fired myself as manager and turned the whole thing over to the Lord. It's with gratitude and awe, that I pass through situations that in the past would have sent me into days of useless self destruction. At these times I am fully aware that it's all HIM.. no way could I do this on my own.

Sorry for the long post, but I don't get much computer time these days. I would just like to ask everyone to keep in their prayers all our brothers and sisters who are unemployed or are facing unemployment. Life, recovery, ect. is hard enough when you have a steady check. The strain of unemployment on families, marriages, and self can be nearly unbearable, I'm quite sure that I was helped by tons of prayer by others, so let's remember them in our prayers. Thanks...

I hope everyone is doing well, thanks for letting me share and I'll check in when I can. God Bless :praying

God works in mysterious ways!

It's just awesome how He is working in your life. Thanks for sharing! I'm happy for
you too!

I'll be unemployed in a few more weeks myself (the company I work for is closing)... your story gives me encouragement!

Hey guys,

Thanks for the replies, I have to agree, our Lord really is amazing and awesome! It's so awesome how He can take such a big mess, and call off all the dogs, and put out all the fires, and get the whole thing going in the right direction, in the blink of an eye. Really awesome!!!

Rayofsunshine, really sorry to hear your company is closing. Unemployment stinks, big time. Nothing good about it. It was one of the hardest things I ever had to endure. The one thing that kept me going was telling myself over and over, that God has plans for me, and they are all good. ( He says so ). Please keep us posted how things are going, and I'll keep praying that the good plans Our Lord has for you materialize quickly !!! Take care and God Bless...
