| God's Promises
Promise: A verbal commitment by one person to another agreeing to do something in the future. Did you know that there are over 350 promises God has made to you in the bible? Do you keep a promise? Is your word, your commitment and promise as good as God's? Should it not be? I look around and see the climbing divorce rate. Couples, once best friends, that committed to each other their lives... leaving each other for greener pastures. Only to later to discover the same issues in their next relationship. In my heart I believe it's because of commitment. Promise. For better or worse? A tough time comes along, their commitment to each other goes out the window. Anger reins over forgiveness. What was once brought together by God's promise, is abandoned in the heat of the moment. I know. I've been there. Now. Before you fire up your keyboard and start writing me. Let me say that I am not condemning you. Far from it. I know that when I point a finger at you, there are three more pointing back at me. Let me tell you this. God's promises are always there. More solid than any rock. More dependable than the sun rising in the east. HIS commitment to you, HIS love for you and HIS forgiveness... is always there for you. When you make a "A verbal commitment by one person to another agreeing to do something in the future" base your promise on God. Live up to your promises. Honor God with your word and God will honor you. ©2009 Tim Levin Inspiration List

I've had a tough time lately.... being a single parent since AH and I separated almost 8 months ago. (He's basically MIA... calls occasionally.. but no financiial help whatsoever.) I'm losing my job in another 3-4 weeks due to my company closing. I can just barely make it on my salary as it is. But I have peace that God will work things out and we'll be ok no matter what. I was talking to God about all my problems the other day on my way home from work.... it was a little cloudy on the way home and when I turned the corner near home... I saw a beautiful rainbow. A reminder of God's promises!
