New to forum - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

Hello,

I'm new to this site. I'm a christian in recovery from drugs and alcohol. I have just passed 2 years and 7 months sober. I'm active in Celebrate Recovery in my church and enjoy attending AA and NA from time to time. I'm curious to see if on line meetings work.

Congrats and hi from me, too!

Works for me. I like the verse I posted yesterday...see, I am an alcoholic

and an addict and a member of AA..but first I am a redeemed child,

born of the Spirit, a product of mercy and love, an example of grace.

And I love to come here.

The verse (my mother gave it to me..) says it all...

Then those who feared the LORD spoke with one another; the LORD heeded and heard them, and a book of remembrance was written before him of those who feared the LORD and thought on his name. {Mal 3:16 RSV}

Welcome to SR, Coremdeo. You've found a great place for support and encouragment. Lots of good info in the "sticky posts" at the top of each forum. We hope you'll stick around and keep reading and posting.

And congratulations on your 2 years 7 months sobriety!! We're
getting ready to have the Celebrate Recovery program at my
church. I'm really looking forward to it. I'm reading one of the
books presently.

Welcome! I too am a Christian in recovery from drugs and alcohol. We do not have CR here, but I have been attending a Living Free group in my town. Blessings, Sheila
