Conflict is inevitable, but combat is optional. Use your God-given creative energy to solve conflict before it escalates into combat.

Perhaps the seeds you sow in your areas of conflict won't reach maturity tomorrow, next week, or even for a generation. Does that mean you shouldn't sow the seeds? No! It means you should sow the seeds immediately. Never underestimate the power of a seed of peace: the power of a kind word, a seed of apology, a phone call, an explanation. This is the way we serve a God of peace.

GOD OF PEACE, Father of comfort, we pray that your kingdom would come into our hearts and that peace would rule. Teach us what it means to be peacemakers. Help us cultivate peace between others and you--in our neighborhoods, offices, schoolrooms. Teach us the art of building bridges and not walls.
We glorify your name, the great God of peace.

I love Max........got to visit his church in San Antonio a few years ago. I read most of his books.
