Major PRAISE REPORT! - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

Okay, so tonight I am at an NA meeting. After the meeting was over a small group of guys is standing in the back talking to a newcomer named Matt. He says he going to church tomorrow cuz he really wants JESUS in his heart.

So a few minutes later (after I have retreived a tract out of my purse) I start talking with him. I told him I over heard him and he said he really wants to ask Jesus into his heart. So I show him the tract and we go thru it page by page.... Heaven is a free gift, Man is a sinner and cannot save himself, God is merciful but also Just, Jesus Christ is the answer cuz he paid the price for us on the Cross, and this gift is received by faith....etc....and right there in the corner of the room at the NA meeting he bowed his head and prayed and received Christ! I was soooo stoked! I mean I have NEVER in all my life since I got saved in 1989 have had someone say "I want ask JESUS to come into my heart" NEVER! So praise the LORD! He was like thrown in my lap!

After we prayed he told me he felt a burden had been lifted. He said he felt different.

So please be in prayer for Matt. He is about 18 and he is going to be entering a month long treatment facility on Friday cuz he keeps relapsing on pot. I want to get a Bible to him, i got his number and a couple of other things. Pray he would grow and learn and get plugged into a good Bible believing church.

My daughter was 5...that is the first time I heard those words clearly spoken and led her to the Lord in the living

room of our home 30 years ago.....seems like yesterday....

Praise God for touching this guy's heart and praise God for putting you in the right place to lead him to Jesus!

God had his hand all over this one!

Here's the verse talking about heaven rejoicing over a person returning home in Christ.

Come home and I'll throw the biggest party heaven has ever seen. Luke 15:7

Okay, I do have a prayer request for Matt....He has not been around lately. He could be in a rehab center in another town. But if you could say a prayer for safety for him and that the Lord would continue that good work until the day of Jesus Christ.

No prayer needed for that part. Just a thank you Lord for the promises You keep. The good works He has started in each of us, He will continue till the coming of the Lord brings us to completion.

Lord,
Thank You for the good things You are brining to Matt's life. We ask that You keep him safe and learning more about you daily. You give promise and You always follow though to Your every promise given. Thank You Lord.
Help us to better see Your hand at work in His life so that we may see Your glory shine all the more.
