Prayer Request

I started having more heart palpitations again this week. I have not been eating good at all this week, but I really do not think that should cause heart palpitations if there is not another underlying cause. Something else wrong with my heart. I went to the ER two years ago for the same problem. They did an EKG & ran blood tests, everything was fine. They suggested a holter moniter, but due to lack of insurance & lack of money, I could not get one. I am scared. I do not have the money to go to the doctor and get tests done. We are still behind on all of our bills. Catching up, but still behind all the same. My mom has high cholesterol & my dad high blood pressure. My mom has blockage in an artery. I cannot afford to have the tests done. I don't know what to do. At the same time, b/c I eat when I have anxiety, the more I worry about this, the more I eat, which in turn is making it worse. It is a never ending vicious circle. I am also afraid that even if I do start eating healthy that it is too late & I will end up with a heart attack, stroke or dying young anyway, so what is the point. I still will not have the money to check it out.

I am not looking for a pity party, just prayers that I will start living this life for God, in His will, not my own selfish instant gratification will & that my physical health is ok. Thank you.

It is never to late.
Things you can do that are free...
Know any nurses that can take you BP and help you monitor it for a day or two?
The drug stores have free BP machines in them as well. Still you can show up at any ER and be checked out (safest thing to do) and you can also ask if they have free services (as most do)

As for the eating...
Do you like carrots? I find the baby carrots already pealed are a nice health snack. No fuss, no mess, no calories. Celery is another. Watermelon is another. If you are going to give in and eat...eat healthy. Celery and baby carrots happen to be two things that are good for us but I also like them.
Pick a couple things that you like that fit in the same food group...easy. no mess, calory free.

I'd be going to a teaching hospitalls ER.
they have better care and
free programs if you are poor.

Have you thought of your county health department?
I've had free test done in 2 different ones.

Bananas are excellent for potassium levels.
When mine dropped dangerously low...
I did have heart "flutterings"

Prayers coming your way...

Sugar with regards to eating, you know that it is never too late. An old drinking friend of mine died of a heart attack two days ago in his forties. He led an unhealthy life and sadly paid the price. I know eating, negative thinking, health worries and stress all seem to be unfairly linked and I hope you can come out of this soon.
I will put you all in my prayers and am glad that you got it off your chest, God bless.

I mentioned going to the ER to my husband & he got pretty mad. He told me that he is pretty fed up with hearing about heart stuff b/c it happens every time I eat bad for a few days. He said that when I go for a couple of weeks with eating healthy & exercising they get better & I feel good, then when I go back to eating bad, they come back. He said that he does not think that there is anything wrong with my heart. He said that the yo yo dieting is probably worse for my body than anything. I told him that I do not think it is normal for my heart to have palpitations from eating bad for a few days without there being an underlying issue there & he said he thinks there is. From the sugar "racing it up". He could be right. I know the thing to do is to stop the yo yo ing. Get healthy & take it from there. Maybe I could even save the money that I have been spending on junk food & get health insurance or enough money to go to the doctor for a check up.

Please continue to pray for me to make the right choices.

Thank you.

And maybe have a few dollars left for gas to get you to some meetings.

I have gone to Celebrate Recovery the last two Fridays. Going to get back on track with the eating/exercise this week. Getting back on track with my quiet time as well. Putting God first, working the steps & meeting with my sponsor on Thursday. I am beginning step 4 (I have really been procrastinating on starting that one) so please pray for me for that as well.

Saying a prayer that you're feeling good today and that God will

Prayers of course Sugar....

It is easy to tell someone not to overeat...unless they don't have a problem with cravings.

I live with my mother who is diabetic..and I have given up trying to control her.

She does have "heart flutters"..as she calls them..when she overindulges.

I will encourage you to eat right..and relax..probably (the) most important thing

you can do.

Being positive...walking...eating healthy...relaxation techniques and diet can help.

Love,

IO
