Friends that stalk

I originaly came to this site seeking help for my drinking. Although a Christian I have had my problems with booze. I found a person claiming to want to help yet little did I know they were checking my every post and only giving me their advice. I try not to be a judge but am pissed off because I dont like legalists. Since then I have decided to just stay in the christian section of this site..... I blocked them and think this person just likes to listen to himself type.......A legalist is someone who says your screwed unless you subscribe to things that are not biblical.... they have a false agenda... Without being rude, (cause I know your reading this I just wanna tell you that your dead wrong about me ), go check up on someone else. If you have that much time on your hands to check every post than I would say your not helping me, just being a typical legalist that I have been taught about redundantly. Thanks to my pastor and doctrine, you are no longer needed and can go check your girlfriends call history cause I bet it is full of real guys numbers......thanks bye

Sorry you are feeling this way trooper...

Certainly no one likes to be judged or your posts stalked. I know what it's like. If you

have a valid complaint, you should report it to an administrator, as this behavior is

not tolerated by SR.

I hope things get better for you here on this forum, and you find the help and peace you are

looking for my friend.

Love,

Sherry

When we post on SR, we are posting in public. Anyone who has internet can read anything we post if they want. I wouldn't see it as stalking. Could be a person who is overly concerned or just someone who likes what you post.

What works best for us all... share what we know based on our own personal Experiences, Strengths, and Hopes ES&H.
If you have an issue with someone...well you did the smart thing...put them on ignore.

What I have found in my life...
When I have an issue with someone, the place I find my answers is by looking in the mirror to see why I have an issue. What is going on in my life that I am letting another rent space in my own head?

The world is full of people with opinions. As Christians, we should discern what is truth and what is false and only pick up what is truth as we leave the rest. We can't change another's heart...Only God can do that.
I find that if another bothers me in some way and after doing a self check and feel it is not something in me causeing such feelings... From there, prayers for others are the best thing I can do for me and them.
I find that when I pray for others, my own heart finds a deeper peace. I also find that such prayers are better done in the closet (in my own quiet space).
As said...we grow when we share what has worked for us...others can accept it or not...that is their choice.
The above works for me.:praying

"Yeah Trooper 913 I know what you are feeling, not so long ago I had to P.M one of the administrators ,cause I had some weirdo P.M.about that is a nature to pick up on patterns, but that he just think he pick up on a trend, that he thinks I got a think for tinker bell that I post to much of tinker bell in the newcomers threads, who die and may him God, thats why people relapse, they keep the focus on other insignificant matters, and don't keep it on the "I" just Ignore some people are to full of them self and some are just nosy...l.o.l

I think it is best you put the person on ignore if they are bugging you. Keep sticking to the Word of God and what you know if right, you sound like a pretty doctrinely sound guy.

blessings, Sheila

thanks sheila,

I try to be. Human viewpoint has got me nowhere. I thought I had a problem with just drinking but I have realized I have a self discipline problem with not allowing god to manage my problems. I had a bad day today. Little sleep and legalists everywhere. I just come home and pray. Hang out with my kids and move on ......I am gonna listen to a tape tonight........ I wish u well sheila....

Hope you are feeling a bit more relaxed now Trooper and having a good time with your kids. Don't let anyone bug you, God bless.
