Prayers & support please - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

About a month or so ago I shared here about my son needing surgery on his wrist. It's taken this long for all the testing and visits to specialists etc etc.

He's scheduled to have it done sometime after next week. It will be an outpatient procedure. This is a very delicate operation exposing all the tendons and nerves in his wrist and lower hand area.

Please pray that the doctor will use the utmost skill and wisdom, that there will be no complications and that he will heal quickly, especially since will be getting married about a month after the surgery.

He plans to only take three days off from work. The doc wanted him to take a week off but he just can't...so I'm asking for prayers about that situation too.

He will be watching over your son through the whole thing.

Lord, guide the Dr's hands and guide the heart of the young man so that he does what is best for him.

Lors, please be with cmc's son as he gets his sutgery done on his wrist. You know what needs to be done. Please guide the surgeon's hand & give him wisdom so that Your will may be done. Please heal him quickly & please give the entire family peace in knowing that Your hand is upon them, Father. You are watching over them, with them always. I also pray for blessings on the upcoming marriage & may this marriage bring glory & honor to you in every way. In Jesus' name I pray ~ Amen.

He's out of surgery and the surgeon saw no signs of nerve or tendon damage! The incision goes from his hand up towards the elbow, which was more than she had expected to cut. She was very surprised that there wasn't permanent damage considering how bad it was and how long it was left untreated. It appears that God was watching over him all along.

I'm still not sure about what procedures were done but there were a couple of biopsies taken, I think as a routine. I don't know yet when the biopsy results will come back, and believe this was done to make sure there is no infection. He should be going home in a couple of hours.
