Divorce Epidemic

Hi All,

I've started with a new Bible Study group recently and also another group at church - I noticed an alarming pattern of a LOT of prayer requests for those headed towards a divroce, in a divorce and overcoming a divorce. Seems like much more than I've noticed in the past.

I'm in the group myself, finally decided I'd had enough of trying to make it work with my AW.

I'd like to ask that everyone pray, pray, pray - and then pray again. The deceiver comes in to 'kill, steal and destroy' but we can defuse his plans when we turn to our Heavenly Father.

Thanks Everyone!

:praying

I was reading where the divorce rate is about the same both in the church and out of the church. Not a good sign at all.
I happen to be one of the few who went down that road only to be saved by the Lord's touch on my heart.
We were separated for just over 2 years. I filed for the divorce after reading a verse incorrectly... thou shall not be unequally yoked. Such is a verse for guidance before getting married...not after the fact. So out of context, I filed.
Here in my state they require a 90 day cooling off period and in that 90 days, the Lord worked on my heart and showed me the truth.
With 10 days left before the divorce was to become final..."We" stopped it and celebrated our 25th together the very next month.
By the grace of God and with Him filling my heart with His love... the past 7 plus years of my marriage have been the best of the whole marriage.

The Lord allows some to walk away so that the believer can be free and the Lord will always work with the one who has an open heart to the Lord's guidance.

May the Lord guide your heart and that of your wife.
Hearts of stone changed to clay where needed or peace and comfort to you if her heart won't seek change.
