| Ephesians 2:8 and 9 | 2 Prayer Requests
I have 2 sad bits of news: 1) My girlfriend back home in San Diego, Mary, her 28 yr old daughter commited suicide yesterday. She was very involved in the church and a neat Christian. They think she may have suffered postpartum depression. Her husband and family are all shocked they never saw this coming. (She leaves behind husband Chris, kids Hannah 5, and a 2 month old baby) Mary is obviously very distraught. 2) My husbands sister Kim who loves the Lord and is one of the most selfless Christian women I know was diagnosed with multiple myeloma (bone cancer) today. Yesterday she broke her arm just getting up, which prompted further testing. She has only 10% renal function and is hospitalized in up in Canada where she lives. Please pray for her 2 boys, Tim and Daniel and husband Dettmar. She is in a lot of bone pain and they have not yet set her arm. What a day. At least these families all have Jesus, but it is still very hard. Thanks, Blessings, Sheila |

May they each feel the Lord's touch and peace in their lives. Jesus is the creator and where He knows how we are put together... if it be His will, I ask that He remove the cancer and bring comfort from that pain as well. Thank You Lord.

| Sheila,After I read your thread, I had to just take a few minutes and thank God, once again, for the Blessings in my life. So many of us, including myself, sometimes just don't stop and think just how precious life is. Sometimes I have a difficult time not questioning God as to why things happen that we just don't understand. Then I realize that I just have to have Faith. One of my favorite sayings, which used to be my signature is, "Faith is Confidence in God when you do not understand." I will Pray for God to wrap His arms a little tighter around you, your Family and Friends as well. Finally, Sheila, remember, God never gives us something that we can't handle. Ask him to give you strength to get through this without picking up. You can get through this. I'm here for you. I'm sending a PM here in just a second. Love, Judy

UPDATE: Well, Mary has pretty much summed up her daughter died due to post partum depression. She is currently making up brocures to give out to all of the new moms at our church and then she is making up brocures to give to the local hospitals in San Diego to bring awareness up. She is keeping busy and knows her daughter is with the Lord as she was a believer and the devil lied to her telling her suicide was a way out of her depression. :-( update on Kim. She is starting her treatment on Thursday. Her kidneys have improved, there is no cure, only treatment. So they are going for the treatment. chemo, etc I am doing pretty good. Today i have 60 days clean and sober. God is good! blessings, Sheila |
