Back on track.

A big hi to all, it seems like 4ever that i have not posted on here, but like it says i am back to where i belong. i pick up my 60 days clean tomorrow, and have even admitted that smoking cannibis is a no no, so yes no more foggy days, yes i still have problems but today i can deal with them the way that is far easier than drinking or drugs. i had to surrender and give it my all, i even had to look at my relationship with others that was destroying my well being, . as a christian i had a lot of guilt, feeling i had to stay in an abuseive marriage, but today i dont feel guilty for splitting up and putting my recovery first, my children are the most who need me, i was destroying everyone, not facing responsibilty was my greatest asset. now i am back at church and back in NA, The most and best thing is my relation with God, theres nothen iin our way, and thank God i am alive to tell all. for anyone stuggling, prayers are with you, And i thank God for the prayers that have been sent on my :prayingbehalf, :praying

The path may be narrow and bumpy but it sure is the better path.

Congratulations on the 60 days. Good for you.

Congratulations on 60 days. Sometimes sixty days is longer than six months.

Since best spoke of the path, my sponsor told me also of a path. share this with me:

"When we first get clean and sober the path is wide (all we have to do is not use or drink), but it is bumpy. As we stay on the path (work the steps), it becomes narrow (we must change our lives), but it becomes smooooother."

I'm glad that you said this.....I also have found that I can handle problems a lot better than drinking. The problems are still there after the 'buzz' wears off. Give it all over to God and you shall find that life is much easier to live in day by day. We are the vine and God is the gardener. He breaks off the dead vines that are not producing fruit, and the vines that are producing fruit, he prunes in order to make them clean and produce more fruit. Remain clean in all aspects of your life....including your relationships with others. I too was in a bad relationship so much that I lost my own identity. I now know the signs and am glad that I cut myself from it. I forgive though b/c if I don't I give them that power over me which they do not deserve.

just my few cents.....

Fifty
