When I was drinking...

Isaiah 29:8
It will be as when a hungry man dreams--And behold, he is eating;But when he awakens, his hunger is not satisfied,Or as when a thirsty man dreams--And behold, he is drinking,But when he awakens, behold, he is faintAnd his thirst is not quenched

When I was looking for answers, the Lord sent a person from AA into my life....

Isaiah 41:17
"The afflicted and needy are seeking water, but there is none,And their tongue is parched with thirst; I, the LORD, will answer them Myself,As the God of Israel I will not forsake them.

Drink up and live

God's promise....

Matthew 5:6
"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.

The Lord's solution...

John 4:13
Jesus answered and said to her,(the woman at the well) "Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again;

John 4:14
but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life."

John 6:35
Jesus said to them, " I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst.

Great verses! This morning my pastor was preaching on John 6! Confirmation. Now if I could just remember to feed on his word at all times instead of going for a snack in the cupboard.

I've seen these verses several times in the past few days and have always loved them! Thanks for sharing them.....
