Need Prayer from My Friends - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

I humbly ask my Christian friends to agree with me in prayer for a need.

The County Board of Supervisors meets in a closed session tomorrow

afternoon to decide to the approval of my disability monies. What I am

receiving now is not enough to live on ..and I have put off seeing a doctor

about an injured shoulder as I have no medical insurance.

I know my needs will be provided for...but lately I have had a "lapse of faith"

feel guilty as I do find it diificult to trust sometimes when things get hard....

I do believe in the power of prayer tho!!!!

The fact that I am alive ...when I think of it..is enough to make me want to

shout...

And..as my AA program instructs..I pray daily only for the knowledge of His

will for me and the power to carry that out....

So I know it will turn out "OK" in the end.

But again...I believe in the power of agreement!!!!

So will you pray with me friends?

I wrote my praise report on a new thread...

This is for Captainizing...

Thank you, Captain..for ever so gently kicking my butt. I needed that. I struggled and

struggled. I did not receive a phone call Wednesday night...or Thursday morning.

I lay down on the sofa at noon and wrestled with the Lord like Jacob..until..finally..

I remembered how I used to preached page 449 from the Big Book to folks..

Wow! And I realized how troubled I was at that very moment..no peace at all.

Then ..I surrendered. Not my will but Thine. "Lord..if this is not the way..I know You will

make a way"..."I accept any answer..no matter what".

I fell asleep and awoke at 3:00 and called the retirement office.

Guess what? They had been calling since the night before! The wrong number!

To tell me the good news...of the approval. But I needed that lesson of acceptance.

So thanks Captain..

You were right...

Accept the outcome.

I had forgotten.

What I have found every time...

When I pray with an acceptance of the outcome, no matter what it may be...
I always find the answer is something I like.

Lord, Your will be done.
When I am accepting of His will in my heart, I am pleased with any answer every time.
