I didn't pass and feel so blue...... I should have done better than that and feel failure is not on my list .... But for today this shows that I have neglected reading the bible .... I don't do good with tests anyway and scoring a 50% isn't good enough... Will read and try again.... I want to see my life with God better than what it is today.............. Thank you for the test....... and letting me know where I stand..... You have fuffled my feathers and that isn't good for this little Penguin. Little Penguin

"I only got 80% but thats still good." What I read from that test....the only passing grade was 100%; anything less, even missing only two questions for 80% would be FAILING.....and how is that good?.........just a thought...... (o: |

Stayin' Alive, Sounds like you are on the right tract. But since the bible tells us that none are righteous, no not one, we can learn that we are daily going to fall short. See, when Jesus died on the cross for all of our sins, past, present and future, he said it is finished. We learn from Scripture that we must transfer our trust from ourselves to Jesus. It is in trusting in Jesus Christ alone for our salvation. We can add nothing to the free gift he has given us. What we know is heaven is a free gift and cannot be earned or deserved, man is a sinner and cannot save himself, God is love but is also just, faith is not temorary faith, but true transfering our trust in Jesus Christ, and that Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven, as stated in his word. I grew up believing I was a good person and that one day my good deeds would be compared to my bad deeds. I was very wrong. At 25 I finally learned what grace was all about. It was receiving that FREE GIFT of salvation and nothing I could ever do could earn my way into heaven. What a relief that was! I hope this makes sense to you! blessings in JESUS, Sheila just remember you can add nothing to your salvation once you have received it and meant it in your heart. Just stay in his word and find a good bible believing church. Evangelism Resources |

Because even if I could live to become 100, I could never do enough good to outweigh the bad I have done. By Grace and Grace alone I am saved, not of my works so that I may boast. Only by the blood of Jesus that was poured out on the cross (for all mankind who accept His gift of grace) will I see heaven.

One hundred per cent...but since I was raised in a pentecostal church until an adult..I have no excuse not to score less. What matters is what you believe.... The Bible says if you believe that Jesus is the Son of God and confess Him with your mouth.. you will be saved. I think sometimes we make it too hard on folks... The thief on the cross asked Christ to remember him. Jesus asked the Father to forgive the ones who tortured and crucified. I believe people can be saved with a breath when there is no time for the reading of a booklet. When there is no time for a minister to arrive...just to speak the precious name of Jesus... forgive... And I believe it is done..finished. Thank you for letting me share.

Speaking to the 'righteousness' question in the test; I found it a bit ambiguous.....so let me............: ...Just stir the pot a bit, and perhaps be a bit socratic.....for something to think about, anyway.....When Paul wrote, in his letter to the Romans (specifically Rom 3:10): "There is none righteous, no not one," he was actually quoting from David's Psalm 14:1.....now, the Psalms were written during OT times, and thus under the old covenant.....here in the NT new covenant, I see it a bit dirrerently......probly just me tho...but here goes.... Under the old covenant, there were a lot of 'works' involved, while in the new covenant, it's all about mercy and grace.....and the works of Jesus. In John's (unanimously ascribed to him, anyway) first letter (probably sent to the churches near Ephesus), he wrote (1John 1:9): "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." ...The way I read this is, if we confess our sins, God forgives us our sins and cleanses us from ALL unrighteousness, then all that would be left would be righteousness (Christ's righteousness, of course, but righteousness all the same). Going from there, it would not be possible for me to claim to know how many are righteous (here under the new covenant, anyway).....soooo, to me the correct answer to the question as to how many righteous people are there...? would be I don't know..... (o: remember.....this is just my opinion, a wee bit of pot stirring, and a bit of socratic logic.....something to ponder.... In Christ, NoelleR |

In Paul's letter, he was speaking of the natural man. All are sinners and all fall short. Quote:
and yes...we become righteous through our acceptance of Christ as Lord and God of our life. Believe in Jesus doesn't do it. Acceptance of Jesus as Lord and God does. For even satan believes that Jesus is but he doesn't accept the Lord as Lord over his life.
