Cool Hello Everyone....

What a blessing it is to find a BB like this one. One that is really active. I am a recovering alcoholic (sober 18 years) but recently recovered from a 35 year drug addiction which included meth, pot, px drugs, oxycotans, herion, cocaine and all the drugs associated with the seventies. My drug of choice was yours. If you had it I wanted it. I've been through 2 alcohol inpatient programs in my life. The last one I went to AA for 1 year and decieded to sober up on my own. My only problem was that I traded drugs for alcohol. I am a believer in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior and am a very active member in my church. I am a Sunday school teacher and attend church throughout the week. I am also a member of a awsome recovery group called Celebrate Recovery. As time goes by I would like to share some of my horror stories with you guys and maybe they will be an inspiration to you on what not to do. One thing I would really like to share with you is every morning when I wake up, I surrender all my addictions over to God. The hardest thing for me to surrender is my addiction to meth. Every now and then I get a craving to "roll some glass" which means smoke it. When ever I get the urge to hang out with my old drug buddies I remember Proverbs 16:9 and 1st Corinthians 15:33 and I also remember what my life was like hanging out with them. I'll see you guys soon and thanks for being here. I need the inspiration.

Welcome HR

We also have a bike forum that has some great people on it that ride and are filled with the wisdom of recovery one day at a time.

Welcome. My drug of choice was alcohol & cocaine, but if those were not around, whatever would do. I am looking forward to hearing more from you. Thanks for joining in.

Welcome HR! Glad to have another Sister in Christ here to join us! I have been down the meth road. Used it for 5 years and haven't touched it since 91, but relapsed w/ opiates. I am now happy to be clean and sober and am working a program of recovery as well as going to church and helping out w/ the kids there.

God is good all of the time! Thankful for HIS GRACE.

Looking forward to hearing more from you!

Blessings, Sheila <><
