| IO Storm | God is Faithful (Even When We Don't Feel Good)
I posted this in response to something Rusty posted in the Gentle Art of Blessing Thread... I took a cab to the Social Security Office yesterday afternoon to appeal a denial of benefits...and then waited 45 minutes for a cab...I stomped around outside at first in the wind..thinking of my brother's cancer..my lack of money..my sister's illness.. my mom's..my auntie's...my hurting shoulder that I cannot afford at this time to treat... And as I waited for that durn cab...my mind quieted..and..like a freight train... suddenly..without provocation..the words like a ticker tape flashed across my eyes. The words of my very favorite hymn... Great is Thy Faithfulness Oh God my Father There is no shadow of turning with thee Thou changest not, thy compassions they fail not Great is thy faithfulness Lord, unto me! I walked to a corner of the parking lot and walked around and sang the song to myself. I meditated on the words..that my mood and circumstances..my health..and loved ones may change..but God is the same yesterday..today..and forever. I felt uplifted in my spirit..my soul sang...and I did not accept defeat. Is HP real in my life today? You bet! Thanks SB! Sis __________________
