| Steppin'...A Poem I Just Wrote ![]() Steppin' I am moving and stepping forward. If some don't understand..they don't have to. If the devil don't like it...too bad for the devil! If I feel alone at times..God goes beside me. I'll keep stepping... I may not be well.. But I'm gettin' better! I'm not where I want to be.. But thank God.. I'm not where I used to be. And when I am afraid I'll step through the fear And when the fire comes I'll step through that with courage For it will purify me And when there is sorrow I'll walk through the sorrow And when pain comes I may have to crawl through it But I won't stop Because I can't fail Unless I give up And if I hurt or damage I'll own up to it And make it right And if I fall I'll get up And step. sjm |

| I believe in giving credit where credit is due! I heard a sermon last Sunday evening by Pastors Lyle and Deborah Dukes...especially Deborah..and she inspired me... I am reworking some of my Steps... The inspiration for this poem. |

I have both a poem and a song that I know didn't come from me. I have zero skills in that area. For me, such can only come from God. | |
