update/prayer request - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

I've been having a tough time since my friend passed away.

Her memorial service was very beautiful and uplifiting but saying goodbye was extremely difficult. My mood is not where I would like right now. I'm working on it and also accepting that it's a very natural time of sadness to be worked through.

My hubby and I took a short trip to celebrate our anniversary the day afterwards. It was a wonderful, relaxing time together and just what I needed.

Some better news is that I just got a call from my recovering son and his fiancee. They just applied for a low rent apt right next to where they work. It's a very nice place and the rent is just thirty dollars more than what he pays for a room in a not so nice area- the same one he lived in when he was active. Normally there is a two year wait but on someone's recommendation they were allowed to apply for a newly vacated unit.

They are so excited and are trusting the Lord to work this out. It's a perfect place for them in so many ways. He could move there in two weeks, and she would join him after they are married in the spring.

I would greatly appreciate all of your prayers for me and also for my son and his fiancee to get this new apartment.

Dear Father, thank you for being a loving father. Thank you that cmc's friend is now with you, having a great time. Please be with cmc, it is always so hard to lose somebody you love. Please comfort cmc, the left behind children. Thank you that you always take care of us.

My son called this morning to tell me that.....they got the apartment! Yippie!

First of all, I must give thanks to God for watching over my son and for all the blessings he has discovered since he has been in recovery. God is faithful.

They just have a few more forms to fill out before signing the lease.
