Could my friends here help me hold my Chris up to the throne of Grace?

He's in the Navy..close to graduation, and under extreme pressure.

I do not wish to think or believe he is or may becoming one of us..

but the signs are there.

That he can withstand the pressures without the use or abuse of substance as a crutch that will cause his stumble later on.
That he find his inner strength to guide his path.

My son is in the Navy and my oldest was in the Marines.

The Navy has a way of taking care of their own and the Lord watches over them through our prayers.

May your heart be still with knowing that the Lord is in charge.

I lift up Chris to you now and pray that your guiding hand will be upon him, keeping him safe from all harm. Holy Spirit please be near to influence his decisions, watch over and protect him as he prepares to graduate.

Much prayer for your son Chris to have the hand of the Lord upon him every day. May he feel God's presence in his life. Also may the Lord put people in Chris's path that will lead him closer to God. Oh friends...I am so touched...my boy called last night and we had a long talk.

He is doing better and has gained new confidence and has recieved some counseling.



You see..I made amends with him at Christmas. He said he thought he might have a

problem...and I told him how I sorry I was and how responsible I felt. How sorry I was for

all the times I wasn't there when he was little..rehabs and lost custody...time lost when I had

liver disease...or tied up with another alcoholic relationship.

And... then all the nights and week ends I spent at the casinos when I finally got custody of

him again...so much loss of time.

He took me in his arms and said..."You know what Mom? I remember..lots of movies..lots of

video games...you never missed a football practice..you never made me feel like I wasn't the

most important person in your life. I never saw you drunk. I rememeber us laughing...always

laughing. You bought me a heck of a lot of toys..yeah you were sublimating or whatever

but I sure didn't mind that!

And whatever part of you you could scrape out of yourself at your sickest moments...

you gave it to me.

I get my gift of laughter from you..I'm smart like you. And if anybody ever says anything

about my mom I'll still kick their a--. As far as I'm concerned..I've always had and

always will have the best mom in the world."

And..as far as this mother is concerned..that was the best Christmas gift I'll ever have...

WOW IO what a kid! I see a man who see's the good. My oldest is in the Navy as well...He has grown in such a positive way and he already was a great person. Maybe seeing others with less, helps them to be grateful for all the good they do have. I know my son speaks often of guys with no place to go for the holidays and such. My prayers will be with Chris in a special way. God Bless our Servicemen and women!!!

I will send it up I am a navy bratt and remember everyone of my brothers drinking because of the pressure........I hope and pray it isnt so....

He is Your Boy...I gave him to You when he was dedicated at a few months before

the congregation..and I won't take him back out of Your capable hands.

You only loaned him to me...and my weak hands messed up so much.

But that little soul mate has been the greatest gift in my life.

So Thank You for the gift.
