21 AS has gone missing...

Please pray for my 21 AS who has gone missing for the last 3 or 4 days. His car is sitting in a local Meijer's, not driven since Sunday. His phone is either turned off or not powered up. He got fired from his job on Christmas Eve. He lives in an apartment - I've not gone banging on his door yet... because I assume he is on a binge...


He gave his life to Christ at age 14.... I know the Hound of Heaven knows where my son is at and what he needs....I need wisdom and to acutely remember that he is in God's hands as every moment of what to me is a very stressful time but what is to God and my son the making of a testimony.....

I will be praying for you and your son. From one mom to another, I have found myself in the same situation before. I understand that pain.

So many times I found out, after the fact, ways that God had been watching over my son and protecting him. That knowledge enabled me to have a greater measure of faith. He is watching over your son too.

Do you attend Alanon? I had to learn to live through some dark days when he was active, whether I knew where he was or not. Going to meetings made a huge difference for me.

I will pray for your son to come to his senses, to remember Who loves him and gain the willingness to find recovery and a better life.

I know the feelings, the anguish & the sadness of the situation with your son, so I send you big ol' support.
But your post tells it like it is, all we can do is step 3 which is "Turn It Over" to a power greater than ourselves.

Dear Sojourner, am so sorry about your son...........
I am a recovered alcoholic. I met a lot of recovered alcoholics/drug addicts whilst in therapy -a european version of teen challenge (which was founded by david wilkerson), who had given their lives to Jesus when they were young children, and later as teenagers, for whatever reasons, got involved with drugs, prostitution, alcohol, the works and became addicts.
Jesus did not abandon them, he brought them through, to the point where they saw the need to change, returned to Jesus and did therapy. I absolutely believe that Jesus loves your son to bits and is watching over him. So pray everyday, ask Jesus to protect him and pull your son towards him. Prayer is a powerful force!
I am a mother also, and my heart goes out to you.
Dear Father, please hold my sister sojourner in your arms, comfort her, heal her broken heart, give her peace of heart and mind, give her hope and vision and wisdom and strength.
Dear Father, please protect her son, speak to his heart and mind, pull him towards you, show him the way out.:
