In our recovery group last night we were talking about how talking with God helps us stay sober, & someone said, "Don't medicate, communicate".

For the believer this life is the only hell they will experience.
For the unbeliever this life is the only heaven they will experience.

Many times I hear people say they know what hell is because they have lived it.

For those who would say that and are believers... Well yes, this life is the only hell we would know.

Just as heaven's full joys and peace are be beyond our understanding for right now...hells full pains and sorrows are beyond our understandings as well.

Sure makes me think. The joys and peace I find in my life today... at times I can't even start to imagine things getting any better but then I add another day sober and realize each day is better then the day before.... What will heaven be like?
Will I dance for you Jesus or in awe of you be still?

This has been a great lesson for me...

When Jesus taught us to pray for those who do spitefully use us...

I never quite liked that or understood it..but when it was presented to me as a tool

for recovery from resentment in the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous..praying for the

offender 7 times in 7 days..(it worked)..I suddenly realized that Christ was teaching

US how to be free of resentment.

And, so, I pray for people in my life that I am upset with..that they have everything I

would want for myself..Peace , Health, Prosperity, and Happiness. And, Love.

Salvation ..if needed...and Healing. Usually..tears of compassion will begin to fall for THEM.

Sometimes it takes awhile before I am able to do it. But when I do..the reward is peace.

Forgive..as I have been forgiven.

For I am the chief of sinners.

Another example of people, places and things crowding out the things of the Spirit.

And giving our power away to another..when the world needs us in so many

critical areas for the good.
