| Ephesians 2:8 and 9 | Prayer Request
Hello my friends out there.... I have 2 separate prayer requests: 1) my best friends daughter who is 3 years old was diagnosed with stage IV neuroblastoma in August and has taken a turn for the worse. Her name is Lillia. She is such a sweetheart. The tumor was originally the size of a mans fist in her chest and it is no longer responding to chemo. (it also in her bone marrow and her lymph nodes.) She is very ill right now and back in the hospital again after her 6th round of chemo. She has a severe infection raging through out her little body right now that could be life threatening. Her parents are Kimberly and Shane and they are believers and trusting the Lord, but are heartbroken. 2) mine sounds a little lame in light of what other peoples needs are, but mine is kind of scary for me. Now that I have 45 days clean and sober I am feeling once again I am healed, cured, and I don't need to spend time on my recovery anymore. That it will just go away and I am fine, and this is exactly what has happened to me many times before. I get clean, I feel great, I drop away and then I relapse. I would have to say the only difference this time is I am recognizing my problem this time! 3) Finally, this is not much of a prayer request, but just a statement. I was so afraid to tell my husband I had relapsed in November, and last night I got an email from a recovery site that had my clean date on it. I know he saw it as I had gone to bed and we share an email account and his personality type is no questions, he just prays. When he smelled smoke on me once he took my cigarettes out of my purse and threw them away and never said a peep. So I am glad he knows cuz now I can just be me and not hide it anymore. I am so blessed to have a hubby like that, cuz I know for a fact that I wouldn't be like that! LOL I hope this finds everyone well...have a wonderful weekend! Blessings, Sheila |

We will pray for Lillia for complete healing and recovery. We will pray for you to desire involvement in your own recovery.....Alcohol, drugs and tobacco are such a cunning enemy......they will slip up on us if we are not prepared.

Dear heavenly Father... We agree together that You would touch little Lillia with your healing hand...for by the the stripes of your son Jesus are we healed. By the power of the Holy Spirit, in the mighty name of Jesus, and always according to Your sovereign will Father. We also ask for special strengthening for Sheila's sobriety..and deliverance from self defeating thoughts and behaviors. In Jesus' name. Amen And thank You very very much.. (Stay strong Sheila!)

Praise report! I actually went to a meeting tonight! yay! I got my 30 day token (i have 45 days clean) I didn't get any phone numbers though, :-( It was kind of weird how it ended w/ my son falling asleep on me, etc...however, it was a good meeting (AA) there was a lot of wisdom in those rooms by some oldtimers. For some reason I always get a lot out of AA meetings when old men speak with a lot of time. I tend to hang on their words and I can always glean wisdom from them. Well, that's it, we are going to the hospital to see Lilla tomorrow. Blessings to you all this weekend! luv, Sheila <>< |

I have added all to my prayers. I pray you and Lillia and her parents feel the wall of protection that God builds around us in these times of difficulty. May his will be done and peace be to each of you in this thought.
