| IO Storm | Thank You Father
I was praying the other evening for traveling mercies for my brother's return home to Missouri, and my son's trip home here for Christmas. They both arrived safely. Then.. I began to pray for my daughter's trip home and realized I had not thanked the Lord for what He had already done. How often do we ask, and ask, and then do we simply forget to thank our heavenly Father for answered prayer? How often do we doubt, forgetting that when we turn our lives and our loved ones over to His care...that we do not take it back in to our own hands? I would like to take this opportunity to simply say .............. "Thank you God" ...for all You have ever done for me. Thank You for creating me, for keeping your hand upon me , and saving my life many times as a child, for blessing me with a Christian family, and for blessing me with amazing children and grandchildren. Thank You for comforting me when Daddy went to be with You. And when I did not understand the reason for the miscarriages....(It took quite awhile to begin to stop questioning You about that one...I wanted those babies to stick around so much...eventually it was one one of the greatest lessons of trust I have learned thus far...) When I slid into my addictions...thank You for protecting me from auto collisions and suicide attempts ....and that I did not kill another human being. Thank You for sending so many wonderful people into my life and many angels in disguise... You sent Jesus to die for me....wonder of all wonders... Thank You for bringing me back....... You waited patiently for me....You protected me....I do not why..... But I thank You for it. Never let me fail to thank You. Never let me fail to praise You. You are worthy. You are Holy. You deserve all of my thanks. I Love You. IO

What an awesome prayer and a reminder to me that many times I too forget to say thank you to the LORD for his protection for me and for my family. I am soooo grateful I did not die in my addiction before I came to salvation in trusting in Christ alone. How easy it is to ask for things and then forget to thank him. Well said!! Thank you! PS I used to live in SD for the first 37 yrs of my life, been here in WI for 5. I lived in Chula Vista area. blessings in Christ, Sheila |
