Been a while - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

Hello everyone,
It's been so long since I've been on, according to the site it's been over a year, wow !
I've been busy with the recovery group at my church & I now volunteer at a womans center, as a meeting faclitator. God's keeping me busy !
The different format confused me at first, but the new features look like they could be fun (once I figure them out, LOL)
While I'm on here, I want to ask for prayers for an upcoming surgery that I will having at the end of January. It's a major one & I'm nervous. I know God is in control. I'm trying to put all my faith in Him, but as the control freak that I am, I tend to fall back on relying on my own strength. I would appreciate any prayers that I can get.

May the Lord fill you with His peace so you will let go and let God handle it all.

He knows how we are made much better then any Dr ever will.
The Lord will guide the Dr's hands and bring you through things.

Hi FTL! I pray your surgery would be as smooth as possilbe, w/ no complications what-so-ever and your recovery time would be speedy. I also pray that each time you feel anxious before hand you would turn that into a prayer and remember these verses, Be anxious for nothing, but in prayer and supplication let your requests be known unto God and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Phil 4:6-7
