prayers needed please

Today I was reeeally wanting to use. I have 21 days. I overate at a Christmas party, had a using dream last night and just wanted to all day today. Right now I am getting in the word, but pray this desire just disappears from me. That I would really surrender to the Lord and not act on my impulses. I do not want to fall into sin once again.

When I use I feel:

Bummed cuz i know I have sinned and feel far away from God

Far away from my sweet hubby

Not wanting to deal w/ my 4 yr old

Like I cannot pray

guilt

I over eat more

I gain water weight

I get moody, crabby and just plain old in a funk.

Tonight I am gonna be in the word, go to bed and know that His mercies are new every morning. Hopefully tomorrow I will feel better.

thanks for listening to me

in Christ, Sheila <><

Remember Sheila - His love never changes. He never pulls away from you. No matter what you do. He is the True GOOD Father who will never leave nor forsake you. Draw close to Him and ask Him for His help. Ask Him to carry you and He will.

We're all human, but he accepts us JUST AS WE ARE. Moodiness, crabbiness, that's normal. It doesn't make us less in His eyes.

You are loved. Don't give in and don't ever give up!

You can do it.

Sheila,
I pray for God to give you complete surrender in all areas of your life. I thank Him for your strength & honesty & your trust in Him to get you through this. Congratulations on turning to Him instead of using & for recognizing that over eating was also a part that you needed to surrender to Him. You are an inspiration to me. Thank you very much for sharing. Everyone always says that God uses the things we go through to help others, well He definately has used your temptation & ability to surrender & bathe yourself in His word to help me. Thank you again. I really needed this post this morning.

SugarSweetPea,

Your reply helped me more than you know. To think that someone like me God could be using!

Yes, I do need to get the food under control and surrender in this area. I did eat more protein in the AM and got some stuff done today. My son is getting back from Bible College (he is in Hungary) in 2 days, yay! And so I am getting his room ready. I also babysat 2 little boys this evening to help out their mom and took my packages to the PO this afternoon. I think the more I make my self do those everyday things clean and sober, the easier my life is and I do not feel so overwhelmed.

thanks for listening. Today is day 24, I hope to make it to 30 this time and then some!

blessings, Sheila <><

Well....my house is 90% clean right now~ for my sons arrival tomorrow night. We have to leave early in the AM to drive down to southern WI cuz my hubby is mentoring a teen down there and he is graduating from his program tomorrow.

The young man is 17 and his name is Nathan. Please say a prayer for him as he really needs to get his life right w/ the Lord. He has 4 months clean and sober, and is going back to live at his parents. My husband is helping get a plan to get a job, license, etc. He really needs to surrender to Christ.

THEN, we get to pick up my son from the airport!!! He has been in Hungary at bible college since August. Will he let me hug him? will he share all he has learned over there? Pray I do not over do it, but as I let him share, things will come out. Sometimes I can get a little over zealous and excited and he has a very laid back personality.

Thanks guys and gals! Blessings, Sheila <><

25 days today and only had one "entertaining thought....of using...." however the Lord reminded me to "take every thought captive to the obedience of Jesus Christ."
