Its so nice to see a forum where people of faith can post and be open about their beliefs.

Until I got sober, nearly 8 months ago, I shut God totally out of my life and was spiritually dead after once having a thriving intimate relationship with Jesus.

As I was sober longer, my heart began to open up to the Lord and now the healing that is taking place is nothing short of miraculous. My life, marriage, relationships with my children and friends and co-workers are so much more healthy and fulfilling.

Sure I still struggle, am in therapy, but I'm more centered and capable of truly working through the issues that pushed me to drink in the first place, and can do so with the true intimate support of a Loving God.

It's so nice to meet you and I'm so happy that you found our forum here. SR is a great site, and like you I was immediately drawn to this forum.
I hope you will feel welcome and make yourself at home here with all the rest of us who share and with those who just come to read.

Congratulations on the 8 months..........you have the favor of God on your life. It took me a while, but I finally came to realize that God's will for my life, was to stay sober.
