| No more merlot, more mamma | I am so sorry that you are going through this. In my area, they have court appointed mediators who work with families. Is this an option for you? That said, I don't know what you were charged with..was the child abuse substantiated? Karen

Graceofgod, You Are In A Hard Place. It Is Difficult To Find A Pro Bono Attorney. If You Lived In Seattle I Have A Daughter That Is A Lawyer And Has Done A Lot Of Pro Bono Work But She Has Switched Law Practices Now. When I Got Divorced From My Second Husband I Looked For An Attorney That Was Noted For Always Winning Custody For The Mom...my Husband Was So Much Of A Lier And Always Put Me Down To Where I Almost Had No Identity Left. I Got Everything I Wanted Big Time And A Big Child Support Payment Too. Here They Have Mediation, A Parenting Plan & Parenting Group For The Parents That Has To Be Attended By Both Parents Before The Divorce Is Finalized. It Is Kinda Late Now To Find A Lawyer Unless You Can Get The Hearing Delayed Until You Can Find One. I Wish It Would Be Easier For You. You Might Be Surprised By What A Judge Might Decide. Can Anyone That Does Your Drug Screens Go With You To Court? I Will Be Thinking Of You. I Know How You Must Feel. I Worried That My Ex-husband Would Try To Abduct Our Daughter That He Had Been Arrested For Sexually Abusing. He Tried To Turn Me Into Child Protection Services But It Didn't Work Because The Caseworker He Saw Was My Daughters Case Worker And She Knew How Good I Was Taking Care Of My Daughter...she Made Unannounced Visits. All Was A Okay. I Had To Watch How Much I Drank And When I Drank Because I Hadn't Quit Yet. Kelsh
