| Christian Rehab? Retreat Center? Need help
Any ideas of where to send my 23 year old daughter. She is abusing ADHD medicine and has lost too much weight... an eating disorder. She is a good Chrisitan kid and never been a problem till now. A real Blessing. Any ideas ?? |

I went to a Christian based treatment center. It's called The Treehouse and it is in Temple, Texas.....long ways from you, but maybe they have a listing of others? Worth a call????? My counselor actually had been through the eating stuff. I was strictly drugs/alcohol. Wish I had more info....maybe google for it?

I don't know any and if I was looking for one myself...I would seek out Salvation Army and ask them for a recommendation. Not sure if Teen Challenge would have what you are looking for but they can be a good resource as well. A google search on each would get you your local. As far as a place "calling" itself a Christian rehap... I would "fully" check it out and not just go by what the name says. Teen Challenge and Salvation Army are two places in my area I find are ok and can be trusted. Look over what they offer in your area and see if they live up to what you are looking for is all I can think to say.

I tried to clean my act up through church back in the early 80's, kept on in my disease....in & out of programs since about '87...my 7th time in treatment was at the Treehouse. Clean & sober since Aug 23, 1997. Hugs & prayers to you all....also congrats on the 20 yrs!

Teen Challenge as Best recommended has much success in their program and they are not just for teens.
