| A new life, a new mind...
1 Corinthians 13:11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 1 Corinthians 14:20 Brothers, stop thinking like children. In regard to evil be infants, but in your thinking be adults. It is said that we are hindered by our additions in our growth of maturity. If we start as a child with our codependant ways, or with our drug and or alcohol use...when we stop the madness of our addictions, we can find that our maturity level is still that of a child in many ways. As we venture into our new life of recovery, we need to put away our childish learned behaviors (not child like but childish) and start anew. For some of us that can be starting at step one as we learn to walk all over again. As we work through the steps of recovery, we deal with resentments, regrets, and amends. We need to shake off the past and start our reading on page one...even if we think we have read it all before. What I had seen of life when I was drinking, I was seeing with the eyes of someone who had blurry vision caused by the alcohol. My truths gained with blurred vision ...some have been found to be untruths and others half truths. So as Paul tells us we should do... 1 Corinthians 13:11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Today, in my new life with my new mind... I start anew. Today is the first day of the rest of my life. Thank You Lord for opening my eyes to my childish ways and helping me see a complete world that awaits for me to learn of it with a newly found adult mindset ( a sober mindset)
