Please pray for me. I have just gotten back into walking (3 days so far) and I think that I broke my toe today. I walked into a corner of a wall, barefoot of course, and I heard a crack. It is over to one side closer to the pinky toe than it was & I cannot get it to go back. It hurts to walk on it, sometimes up into my ankle, sometimes to my knee. Whether or not it is broken, I know that it will take a long time to heal & therefore will be a long time until I can get back out to walking. I had to take 3 days off after the first 2 b/c of a blister on one of my other toes. I have never had a blister hurt that bad, even with a bandaid on it, I could still not wear a shoe. I am feeling pretty discouraged right now. It seems like every time I start to exercise, something happens. I am trying to stay positive right now, just read in Philippians 3:1 about whatever happens, rejoice in the Lord. I am telling myself that I can still do floor exercises & still control what goes in my mouth. I do not eat with my toes. Anyway, thanks for letting me share & any and all prayers are greatly appreciated.

we are praying...........I have a friend who was in a motorcycle accident back in April and he broke one toe and dislocated another. The dislocated toe stuck out to the side as you described. Possibly you need to see a doctor and have it put back in place. As far as a broken toe I believe they can't do much except try and set it and have the person put on a boot cast and stay off it........ You have healing that came all the way from the stripes of Jesus. Sometimes the recovery takes a little more time, but you have healing right now in the Name of Jesus Christ.................we pray in agreement..........you receive.

My toes are feeling much better today. There is a big bruise on it, but it does not hurt like it did yesterday. I thank you for all of your prayers.

I would tape two toes together and that worked well. Glad to see you are feeling better. You had me laughing.... I don't eat with my toes *LOL* I think if we tried that we would eat less *LOL*

Well, my toe was healing well, even got out to walk again yesterday, then today, stubbed it again, not once, but TWICE. Can you believe the first time ON A PILLOW!!! And it hurt as bad as the first time I did it a week ago. Then tonight, again on a wooden chair. This time worse than the first time. All the way up to my knee. I know that Jesus will heal it and maybe through this I can learn to be a little less CLUMSY!!

ouch! Maybe you can go to an orthopedic supply store and get one of those 'ugly' velcro rubber soled shoes. When I broke my 'little toe' (pinky toe? lol ) I had to wear one of those shoes to protect it from being re-injured. It took about 8 weeks to heal.

I am feeling pretty bummed right now. I started walking last week, walked two days then broke the toe or whatever I did to it. I was actually able to get out and walk again on Wednesday, it rained yesterday & then after hurting it again yesterday, I tried to go out for a walk again today & was not able to. My kids said that they wanted to play outside (I already know that I do not get them outside enough as being 115 lbs overweight & it being summer, is not very pleasant for me), so I took them out. They basically just stood there. Did not want to play in the mud, did not want to drive their trucks in the mud, did not want to play in the kiddie pools, NOTHING. Just wanted to come inside. They always want to go outside then do nothing but complain about wanting to go in once they get out. I feel I am to blame b/c I do not like the outside. I am trying to get better about it. I am getting them out more. I also know that they would probably play more if I got in the mud with them. I am just not there yet. I do not have the energy or motivation to keep them entertained all day. Then I start working on it & hurt myself. I truely am my own circumstance. On a lighter note: I am grateful that I did not break the whole foot and have to wear a cast. I am grateful that I can still choose to eat healthy. I am grateful that I can still exercise on my machine & do floor exercises. I am greatful to be healthy (as far as I know) and am greatful to be breathing. I am grateful that I get to be home with my two little ones no matter what we are doing.

sugar hi..try not to beat yourself up Just a couple suggestions...you don't have to play inthe mud..what about a picnic lunch in the yard...Siting in the grass and reading to them to get them started on enjoying the outdoors..or Laying on your back in the grass and guessing the shape of clouds or star gazing at night???? One thing my sponosr helped me with was to get a book on flowers and we walked around and looked up and identified what flowers there were in the neighborhood.. Keep it simple darlin'...There are wasy to enjoy your kids and nature and not hurt yourself.. Hugs

We used to always have one of those small kiddie pools, and I remember one summer when my husband used to come home from work for lunch and would just sit in that pool while the kids splashed him with a garden hose. Even if it's for just 20 minutes, going outside and getting a change of scenery helps me so much. It takes some time to change habits, for you and the kids too. You are already making alot of positive changes- remember one day at a time! Keep up the good work! |
