| Casting Versus Painting
I wanted to share this from the Bible study I am taking on Tues mornings. Made me really take a look at my life and I have to say that unfortunately in some areas of my life I am only painted. Taken from Enjoy by Tianne Moon Casting Versus Painting When an object is cast in a color, it is literally made out of that color. However, if an object is painted, it only displays a particular color on its surface. If the applied layer is scraped off a painted object, the completely different color underneath shows through. As Christians we too often focus on how we should look on the outside, working hard to "play the game." But many of us stop short of allowing God to change our hearts, afraid of the hard work that He will do in our lives. Are you allowing Christ to cast you, transforming you from the inside out? Or is your relationship with Him only surface deep, as if it were painted on? We must let God do the hard work required to change us from the inside out before we can experience the satisfying relationships He wants us to enjoy. In the second chapter of Philippians, Paul offers key qualities that should characterize our hearts if we are to experience relationships that bring us true joy. Paul's words remind me that a change in my relationships begins with a change in me. A good way to check my progress as I allow God to cast my life is to see how I react to difficult relationships. Do I respond with patience, gentleness, and self-control? Or do I respond with a hot temper, sharp tongue, and cold intolerance?

The statue in Daniel when he is talking with Nebakanezer, Gold head, clay feet... I see that Psalm 40 tells me that my feet are where they need be... He planted my feet upon the rock. As long as my feet remain firm upon the Rock(Jesus) He can and will transform my every part into gold.
