God,s Wings.

An artical in the National Geographic several years ago provided a penetrating picture of God,s Wings. After a forest fire in a huge National park, several forest rangers began their trek up the mountain to access the inferno,s damage.
One ranger found a bird literally petrified in ashes, perched statuesquely on the ground at the base of a tree.Somewhat sickened by this erire sight,he knocked over this bird with a stick. When he gently struck it,3 tiny birds scurried from under their dead mother,s wings. This loving mother, keenly aware of the impending disaster, had carried her off-spring to the base of this tree and had gathered them under her wings instinctively knowing that the toxic smoke would rise. She could have flown to saftey but had refused to abandon her babies. Then the blaze had arrived and the heat had scorched her small body, the mother had remained steadfast.Because she had been willing to die, those under the cover of her wings would live.
God will cover you with His feathers and under His Wings you will find refuge.
Being loved this much should make a difference in our lives.
Thanks for lettinbg me share,
God Bless !!!

A song verse comes to mind....

I will never know how much it costs to see my sins upon that cross.

Jesus died for us so that we may live.

God could have saved me anyway He wanted to, but He _chose_ to do it Himself- in a most personal and most perfect way.
Thanks Grasshopper for sharing this touching story.

Thanks Grasshopper. That was just what I needed.
I haven't been on the site for a while, at the moment problems seems to be backing up and getting harder to deal with - my serenity has gone a bit.
And my computer has been down.Today it's fixed- my God said get on line and read - and this was the first post I saw.
I know He looks out for me and I should remember to trust - but my brains and ego get in the way. I can solve everything.
Just reading that story remnds me who is really carrying me
Thanks again.
God Bless
