| Prayers needed
Hello friends - my family and I lost my brother, Kevin, on Friday. He has gone home to God and I would appreciate your prayers so much at this time of grief. Needless to say, my parents, Joan and Kevin Sr., have been devastated by this and I would like to ask you to pray for us at this time, especially for my parents and for the soul of my brother, who is now safe with his saviour, Jesus Christ. Thank you all - and I know my family would thank you, too. God Bless.

Hi Margo, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. May the good Lord comfort and keep you through the days ahead. You and your family are in my prayers. The Beatitudes Matthew 5:3-11 3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for their's is the kingdom of Heaven. 4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. 5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. 6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. 7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. 8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. 9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. 10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for their's is the kingdom of Heaven. 11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evilagainst you falsely, for My sake. |

Dear Margo, So very, very sorry for you rloos and I pray fo God to give you the strenght by His grace to go thru this all the way. And for your parents. A mom and dad are supposed to outlive their children. I lost a sister in 89 she was a lot younger than me and we were all outcasts in our family. I was still drinking then and I had to go to Colorado from Mo. and take care of many details. My mom ignored the whole thing, she lived ther and thought my sister and I came ou there to see her and entertain her, my mom doesn't drink but is very spritually sick. Anyway I wanted to stay In Colorado and do investigatiing on my own ans something told me to go home and I did-i went back to Baltimore and worked doubles and everything to keeep the pain down. I finally was bending over double in pain and had to go to a doctor where I let the story out of all the abuse and bad upbringing and my little lost sister. I had a friend that said he's younger brother died and it took him 5 years to get over it. So this may take awhile at least in AA I can be helpful to others when my life seems over and I have done that many times. I didn't have a progrm for living before, I had a bottle.God bless you and your family-"let not your heart be troubled"

Thank you all so much for your messages and prayers - it means a great deal to me. I just got home from Edmonton from the funeral and it was good to see my brother laid to rest with so many of his family and friends present - he was well-loved in this life. You have all brought me much comfort in this difficult time and again, I really appreciate it. Rebecca - thank you for posting from the Beatitudes. Vicki - thank you for sharing your story. And Lyn - thank you so much for the beautiful flowers! God Bless! |
