New Song

Do you ever hear a song and not really listen to the words. That happened to me yesterday. Suddenly the words of this song just overwhelmed me. I know the song is about heaven but for me it became about overcoming and recovery and health and surviving because there is something better.

Daniel Kirkley
Won't That Be Heavenly

What if I could reach outside these walls
What if I could lose my doubt and rise above it all
For just a moment
To see what's waiting for me
And not be dreaming

Look into the eyes of Jesus
And feel the touch of sweet forgiveness
Hear the voice that bids me come
Into His open arms I'll run
Oh, Oh, Ooooh,
Won't that be heavenly

For just a moment to see it as it will be
It's more than I could dream

There is more to the song but these words blessed me so much!

As soon as I read that I was thinking...wow what a great sermon that would make.
As in my favorite psalm... He put a new song on my lips, a song of praise to the Lord.
We hear the words, we see the blessings, we count the miracles... but being human, we still find doubt at times.

Heave on earth.
I would say that serenity is finding a piece of heaven while here on earth.

Thy will be done....On earth as it is in heaven.
