| Need prayers
I really am trying to seek God's will for my marriage. It's been so hard to know the right thing to do. I've believed for 12 years that he would turn his life back to God and stop drinking and not that I don't think God is capable of doing that but I know my husband has free will. God can't force him. Even though, I thought I was going to go home (for all the wrong reasons), his behavior tonight showed me that isn't possible. He and I both could use your prayers. Thank you! ~Cheryl |

Cheryl Prayers are with you. When not sure what to do...Wait. The word wait reminded me of a post that Toad put here and from his post I take this.... Quote:
God will change his stone heart into clay or God will let him walk away so that the one who is faithful can be set free to continue on in service to the Lord. The desires of your heart are in line with God's will...You want him to seek God and get back in line with God's will. God answers prayer. We need wait till the answers come. Toad's full post may be found here and I hope you find some insight in his words guided by the Holy Spirit. http://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/...4-twisted.html

chero, Keep praying and God will show you what you need to do. When I don't get an 'answer' from God I don't take a step either way. One reason for that is obvious, that I want to do the right thing and the other is about my peace of mind because I can't have peace if I am not certain. I believe that God will provide both direction and the faith to act out His will. hugs & prayers, cmc |

Best's post above is SO true. There were many times when all I had the strength to do was fall on my knees, look up, and scream "please help me!!!". In my case, God let my ex walk away so I can truly serve Him without living in chaos. Probably not the way I would have chosen, but then that is why He is God and I am not!! He will be faithful to answer you, too. Just keep doing the next right thing!
