 Praying God's Word for May 7
What victory the enemy has in winning us over to prayerlessness. He would rather we do anything than pray!
My merciful God, since I have been raised with Christ, set my heart on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Help me set my mind on things above, not on earthly things (Col. 3:1).
Lord, please take my passions and redirect them first and foremost toward You. Be the chief focus of all my passions and create a new heart within me with healthy emotions.
Father God, please help me not to shy away from praying to You. Your Word tells me to pray about everything! (Phil. 4:6) Help me to trust You and pour out my heart to You because You are my refuge (Ps. 62:8). You will not shame me or turn Your back on me. You want to help me overcome every stronghold.
