|  Praying God's Word for May 4
Few people have grateful hearts like captives who been freed and the afflicted who have been healed. I love you, Lord, for You heard my voice; You heard my cry for mercy. Because You turned Your ear to me, I will call on You as long as I live. The cords of death entangled me; I was overwhelmed by trouble and sorrow. Then I called on the name of the Lord: O Lord, save me! You, Lord, are gracious and righteous; my God is full of compassion. You, Lord, protect the simple-hearted; when I was in great need, You saved me. Be at rest once more, O my soul, for the Lord has been good to you. (Ps. 116:1-7) Just for today, I choose to cast my cares on You, Lord and You will sustain me. (Ps. 55:22)
