Beth Moore writes in the 'Praying God's Word' devotional book, "What are Christ's thoughts? The Word of God revealed to us. In praying scripture, we not only find ourselves in intimate communication with God, but our mind is being retrained, or renewed (Rom. 12:2), to think His thoughts about our situation rather than our own."

Christ sets us free by the power of His Spirit. He maintains our freedom as we learn to live from day to day in His power.

God, I claim your Word that says I did not receive a spirit that makes me a slave again to fear, but I received the Spirit of sonship. (Rom. 8:15) Help me to cry out unashamedly to You, my Father, when I am gripped by fear. This kind of fear is not from You! (2 Tim. 1:7)

Victorious God, I thank You that the weapons with which I fight are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. I demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and I choose to take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ! (2 Cor. 10:4-5)
