Post Comfort Ye My People...........

Comfort ye, comfort ye, My people, saith God. Speak, ye priests,

of the heart of Jerusalem; comfort her, for her humiliation is

accomplished, her sin is put away; for she hath received at the

Lord's hand double the amount of her sins... O thou that

bringest glad tidings to Zion, go up on the high mountains; lift

up thy voice with strength, thou that bringest glad tidings to

Jerusalem. Lift it up, fear not; say unto the cities of Judah,

Behold your God! Behold the Lord. The Lord is coming with

strength, and His arm is with power. Behold, His reward is with

Him, and the work of each man is before Him. He shall tend His

flock as a shepherd, and He shall gather the lambs with His arm

and hold them in His bosom, and shall soothe them that are

with young.
----------------------------------------------------------------------(Is. 40:1-2, 9-11).

With these promises, of whom or what shall we fear? As I

meditate on these verses, I find comfort.....for He holds us

weary lambs in His bosom, and carries us in His arms....

Thank You Lord Jesus.

Love,

Sherry

By ACQUIRE THE FIRE

Song Lyrics » ACQUIRE THE FIRE » Whom Shall I Fear Lyrics

I will seek You Lord
While I am in my youth.
I will serve You Lord,
And I'll proclaim Your truth.
For You've searched and found me
While I was far away.
And in my troubled times
You've always kept me safe.

The Lord is my Light
and my Salvation
Whom Shall I Fear?
Whom Shall I Fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life
Whom Shall I Fear?
Whom Shall I Fear?

Thanks Best for reminding me......

I just got real upset on another forum just now. Justified anger?

Big Book AA says no no. So, I PM'd a MOD.......and pulled these

verses up to calm me down.....................

PHI 4:6-7

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Verse 6 is synonymous with 1PE 5:6-10

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

These things bring you into "...the peace of God, which passeth all understanding..."

Yeah, the old devil would love for me to let go and get myself

banned. Big character defect...anger when I feel someone is

being treated unfair.

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

On another forum we call him "Rats of Addiction"...............

Thanks for letting me preach to myself!

Love,

Sherry
