Alcoholics Victorious is a bible based recovery program. Celibrate Recovery is another. I have not been to either but have heard great things from people who have. If memory serves me right...Alcoholics Victorious was started so to bring the 12 steps of recovery that AA uses back to a Christian based program that is available for anyone who wants to go.

It is my understanding that meetings are for all. Who attends and their reason for attending (AA/NA, NAR-AL Anon, ACOA) would decide the depth of focus in each area. The same steps/understandings work for all areas of recovery. I have a problem... I tried but can't fix the problem. Lord please help me.

You probably have this here already somewhere I'm sure but just in case. I live the 'original' version of the Serenity Prayer; God, give us grace to accept with serenity the things that cannot be changed, courage to change the things which should be changed, and the wisdom to distinguish the one from the other. Living one day at a time, Enjoying one moment at a time, Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace, Taking, as Jesus did, This sinful world as it is, Not as I would have it, Trusting that You will make all things right, If I surrender to Your will, So that I may be reasonably happy in this life, And supremely happy with You forever in the next. Amen. I believe it was credited to Reinhold Niebuhr as well.
