My ten year suspension on driving is up today. I could have never made it without sobriety, and people like you guys on this forum, who have encouraged me not to take the first drink or drug, and to live life one day at a time. It will still be a few weeks before all the legal stuff is taken care of, but the program has taught me to just take life as it comes, living life on life's terms. If I would have continued to drink, I would have been busted for another DWI, driving on a revoked license, and no telling what else. I am sure that I would have been in prison to this day. As I sit at my dest looking out at my yard, I feel a humble gratitude to God for allowing me to live long enough to get sober. God has done for me what I could not do for myself. ...................toad |

wooo-hoooo! toad on the road!!! I am so happy that the time is almost up, you have waited a long time and worked a good program. Thanks for all that you share with us here. Many of us take for granted the privilege of driving. Here's to getting your license back and prayers coming your way for a safe and fun return to driving. (you will have to imagine some smilies here.... as I still can't use them) cmc

A long ride with a lot of education along the way. Now some time to spend with the wind in your face. Yes, spring is right around the corner. I want pictures when you get that bike *LOL* I will be back in the wind this coming year myself. Parked Motorcycle Syndrome isn't all that fun. Dec of 05 was my last ride. Spring is on the way. (or a warm sunny day in winter) Congratulations on finishing that ride. Rubber side down from here on out.

Congrats Toad!!! I am without right now, so I can only imagine how great it is for you to be able to drive again. A whole new freedom. Sounds like you handled the situation with a lot of grace and dignity. I can learn from that!
