Rules from God

1. Wake Up !!
Decide to have a good day.
"Today is the day the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it."
Psalms 118:24

2. Dress Up !!
The best way to dress up is to put on a smile.
A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.
"The Lord does not look at the things man looks at.
Man looks at outward appearance;
but the Lord looks at the heart."
I Samuel 16:7

3. Shut Up!!
Say nice things and learn to listen.
God gave us two ears and one mouth, so He must have meant
for us to do twice as much listening as talking.
"He who guards his lips guards his soul."
Proverbs 13:3

4. Stand Up!!...
For what you believe in.
Stand for something or you will fall for anything..
"Let us not be weary in doing good; for at the proper time,
we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good..."
Galatians 6:9-10

5. Look Up !!...
To the Lord.
"I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me."
Philippians 4:13

6. Reach Up !!...
For something higher.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and lean not unto your own understanding.
In all your ways, acknowledge Him,
and He will direct your path."
Proverbs 3:5-6

7. Lift Up !!...
Your Prayers.
"Do not worry about anything;
instead PRAY ABOUT
EVERYTHING."
Philippians 4:6

Pass this on and brighten someone's day, and remember:
God answers Knee-Mail.

Your post is great, but I'm just getting into this again, and I need help with #7, how to not worry and pray for everything. I've got a lot of stress in my life right now, how do I not worry?

It comes with the increase of faith. The more I place my trust in God, the less I worry. The more that I see God do in my life, the more my faith increases.
Ask the Lord for more faith.

We just talked about this tonight in our meeting. I said that I have spent my entire life, and I do believe, other than my first few years, I spent my whole life worrying.. But we discussed it, worry doesn't always just "go away" overnight, just like many of our learned behaviors.. We need to ask God for help.. But we must also help ourselves.. It all takes time, but it does definately get better with time.

I would have to disagree with this Best with all respect! I don't think it is needing more faith it is exercising the faith that we have. It only takes the faith of a mustard seed right? So with that being said, it is really only exercising the faith that we do have and then when we are able to do that then our faith grows. Anyways I love the post it is good to know. The number one rule is to love your neighbor as yourself.

Romans 4:20
Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God,...

Mark 9:24
Immediately the boy's father exclaimed, "I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!"
Or more to the point in todays words... Help me increase my faith

Romans 10:17
Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.

You were correct that with the faith of a mustard seed we can move mountains.

Faith is something we can also ask increase of. Faith comes from God and His word through Christ.

Vic and Best,
I see it as two things...
1.getting faith, increasing faith ( from the word of God... preaching, reading)
2.exercising faith, using faith ( actions and stepping out into the unseen or unknown )

Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, and the
evidence of things not seen."

We can lose faith and falter in our trust, but thankfully we can regain it as well. To me it is like a muscle that if exercised will become stronger but will also need nourishing in order to continue to grow.
My pastor referred to having faith as a moving body of water...it flows in, out and through us. If we stop it from flowing it becomes stagnant and the water quality is spoiled and the river becomes a swamp or marsh.
