| what do you do?
Once we know the Lord, we realize that we need to give him Lordship over all areas of our lives. This is a life long process and for me involves many areas of growth and stewardship. 1 Corinthians Chapter 6, begins with warnings about the sin of immorality and it's affects on us as being "against our own body." v18 The following verses pretty much sum it up that we are responsible to take care of what He has given us. "Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?(v19) For you have been bought with a price:therefore glorify God in your body."(v20) Please share what this means to you- being a good steward of your own physical and/or mental health, relationships etc.

This is one of those verses where I tend to read but not fully read? Eating correctly and exercise would make me a good steward of what has been given me but I don't always do as I should in those areas. Drinking, drugs, and smoking are tied in with that scripture as well. King David, in his guilt and shame writes out how his body suffered because of his sins.

Maybe the title of the thread should read What do you do or not do? I try to eat right and exercise.... I have made progress in those areas but have alot of slips. For example, I eat chocolate every day... but just a few pieces, where I used to eat much more.(Chocoholic Anonymous) I make small changes sometimes and if that is the best I can do, then I just accept it as a process of learning to take care of myself better. I just wonder how others feel about health and fitness. Maybe this will be a difficult subject!
