Inspirational?? You betcha!

My daughter has started Kindergarten last week after being at home with me for over 2years. She is just turned 5yo. Her sister and her are the reasons I live to thank God so joyously every morning.

My new (re)found faith in God and Jesus remind me of how precious children are and how much we can learn from their innocence.

God willing, my children will never have to know me as a drunk. God willing, I will never say hurtful things to them in a drunken episode. God willing, I will never knowingly put their life in danger by driving with one (one IS too many) too many.

God has given me these wonderful, beautiful, special and cherished girls to make my life THAT MUCH BETTER.

I looked at my youngest (2) while I was changing her and was almost brought to tears by the sudden FIERCE love I felt.

HOW CAN ONE LOVE ANOTHER SO MUCH????? We need to ask this of Jesus as he loved us enough to give his life so that our lives, sinful as they were, would be spared. Prayer can give us much needed insight to our daily life. I need to remember that. Just thought I would share a little of my inspiration.

I didn't drive, I gave the keys to my sister in law. She was on a learner's permit. She had never driven at night or in the rain. It was night and raining. She went up on the sidewalk but back to the street before hitting the stop sign. Being drunk I said.... No problem you mssed it, you doing fine. When I awoke the next day, I remembered that part of the night (not much else)
I became filled with panic at what I had done and a fear of having put my daughter in such danger. That evening was the beginning of me searching for answers.
I did not know Jesus at the time but still I see that He was protecting us even then.
Even before I knew You, You were there. Thank you Lord.

Thank you for sharing, Star and I know your girls will benefit from having a mom like you who cares more about them than herself! Being a mom, myself I can understand the love you have for your daughters, may all be well in your home.

Isn't that just the best feeling in the world??? To know that He cares for us even when we dont acknowledge Him.
