New Avatar

Here's a little piece of work I finished recently and turned it into a avatar. I created it using Fractal Extreme.



In French, it's entitled "Le Naissance du Phenix". Whadya think?

I like the colors and the concept.
If you crop it into two pictures, right down the middle, I think I would like the balance that would be seen in each of them as they stand alone.
I tend to like a formal design and I think a split down the middle would give two formal styled images.

It took me a while to narrow the focus of the whole fractal scene and decide which smaller (magnified) section to use. The image you see, is a 1000x zoom from the original.

Looking at the avatar, not the above picture....

I like the whole as is. I can even see a face forming in the middle of the picture.

Some times you need stand back and look at the whole.
Do you see the face?

I saw the face last night as I was working with the image. It sort of spooked me at first. It looks like an Aztec or Inca warrior wearing a scowling frown.
