CRAP! Just got a call from my son's school. He is on a field trip today to Chattanooga with the saftey patrol. Turns out he sliced his ankle open on a rock at the Lost Sea. Apparently, I did not fill out the correct medical waiver form. SO, they can't stitch him up down there. Waiting on a call from the principal to see if we can get around that or I might be taking a day trip to Chattanooga.

Crap!!!!!!! poor little guy.

See ya' chicks!

Well, the deal is. Still cannot figure out that red tape crap.

Anyway, hubby was all set to go get him, right?

Then, we get yet another call. Well, they looked at it again outside of the cave (It was Ruby Falls, not the Lost Sea, me bad), and it does not look as bad as they first thought. So, we called our RN friend and she suggested to butterfly it.

So for now, he is going to hobble back on the bus. The next stop is the Imax theatre. So, that should be ok. He can just sit and prop it up.

I just feel so bad for him. Seems like this kind of crap happens to him all of the time and he is the sweetest, most deserving little kid that I know.

Anyway, thanks guys. Sorry to hijack the hair color thread. I just needed to vent.

Love you all~~~~~

Ang

Well, dang! Poor kid--how far away (drive time) is he from you? Were you able to talk to him at all, or just teacher/principal folks?

You should try that haircolor--like Kierra was saying, spring is all about COLOR!

(btw, just finished mine--now have to dry it & see how it turned out. I inadvertantly dyed the back of my neck, too. oops.)

I've been tempted to try that L'oreal stuff with the streaks, but I'm not too brave about that. How do you keep the streaky parts separate from the parts you don't want to streak (I mean when you're applying the color)?

Well, my hair came out pretty darn red even though the color is supposed to be light brown. Better than grey, though!

Ang, how's your son?

Thanks Jane ~ NOW, PM me that pic! I promise not to share it with the world wide web.

My son ~ well, I did get to speak to him. As usual, he said, I'm fine. I talked to his teacher as well. She was right there with him. After everything was said and done, he is staying on the trip. Won't be back until 8:00 p.m.. We, more than likely will go have to have it stitched up. They were going to the Imax theater after Ruby Falls, so at least maybe he could enjoy that. He will probably miss the aquairium after that, as he probably won't be able to walk around.

Drive time to where he is = 2 hours +. I want to go get him and hug him and "mommy'" him. But he is a trooper and he wanted to stay. And after the 2nd EMT opinion, we decided to let him.

Thanks for asking.

Well, good--I'm glad he's doing well! I suppose at that age it would be embarrassing for him to have Mommy show up to see if he's O.K. (My son would probably crawl under a rock if I showed up in such a circumstance.)

I am having a big fight with ImageShack at the moment. It's not liking my camera's pics for some reason! I'll send you the pic if I can EVER make this blasted thing work again!

Yep - Koolaid. Sugar free - mix it w/ Diet 7-up and it's pretty tasty!!

Yeah, I have a computer at home, but I'm beat today (I've gone to the gym 8 out of 9 days...) The only screen I'll be watching will be my TV!

Hi Guys , I just got up! and i find you lot have been playing while I slept ! LOL

Now. as for the self streak thingy, I had those worries too, but tis dead easy. The streaks go on after the color, and when your hair is just damp, left on for 10mins , works like a charm, and it looks a bir softer and more natural i reckon

Ang, glad to hear your son thinks he's okay. Boys...oops, young men.

Phew! Got two flower beds dug and planted. 1 herb container garden and a huge strawberry pot. Landscape project for my apt complex. The manager loved what I'm doing at my place, so she asked me if I could design and plant some shade gardens. Also brainstormed some ideas for a park beautification project we've been working on.

It was 91 degrees today. Had to break out the shorts. I got a tan, so when I do my hair next it's gonna be blond. Actually, I think I'm gonna "mink" mine. Leave the bottom dark and take the top bright blond.

You GO Kierra~~~~~~~~~~~

Sounds awesome. I AM going to color my hair tomorrow, come hell or high water.

Went & picked up son. He is okay. But it it NASTY. But where it is (on the back of his ankle), everyone says stitches would do no good. My friend, an RN, stitched him up really good with butterfly bandages.

I think he ended up having a great time. He felt like a "celebrity", being pushed around in the wheelchair and everyone coming up and asking how he was.

Good for him, I say.

He deserves it! He's a great "little" guy"!!!!!!

Kierra~~~~~~~~keep posting, you are a hoot. We love ya'!~
