| Things that are more fun than drinking
Inspired by Purdster! 1 - climbing a tree 2 - cuddling a tiger-cub 3 - swimming with dolphins 4 - holding your baby neice/nephew/daughter/son for the first time and they look up at you and give a big contented sigh or yawn. 5 - buying a gorgeous outfit and wearing it 6 - when one of your (rescue) animals suddenly runs towards you and you think 'aaaagh! he's gonna bite my fingers off but he just jumps onto you and snuggles up against you and falls asleep in your arms 7 - oh I'll tell you later!

getting to know your family again......finding out they still love you meeting other people who are just as barmey as you going for coffee or doing lunch with a freind waking up without a hangover feeling healthier laughing so much your stomach and face hurt!!! being awake being aware growing through pain....(not sure thats good but it is if you see what i mean) being whisked off to foreign lands on holiday and enjoying a holiday without getting minging..... climbing a tree letting people love you trying to learn to love oneself is the hardest part of my recovery and my life right now....... |

Reading a really good book. Sitting in a nice patch of warm sunshine coming through the window on a winter day. The very first sip of a really good cup of coffee. Having a puppy or kitten fall asleep on your lap. Gardening. Eating cheesecake. Remembering! |

Being able to eat in public with a knife and fork instead of having to order a sandwich bcz your hands are shaking too much to use cuttlery. Waking up in the morning without thinking you've been visited by 'the big gorilla' the night before. You know the one, he beats you up nicks all your money and poops in your mouth!
